Eye catching

however there is one piece that eludes me because of price

a Tachi

predecessor to the katana the tachi was the original weapon of choice in japan, it was was larger (longer) and it had a deeper curvature then a katana

cheapest I could find $13,000

Lovely blades, I hope you find one eventually. Most of my pieces are Medieval European swords and daggers.

Love medieval Europe

aesthetically though I have to lean towards Eastern Europe and Asia

I'm really into my ancestry so I favor weapons that were used by Slavic countries. In particular the Cossack shaska and kindjal swords as well as shamshirs (yes I know its Persian but curved Persian blades were used by the Slavic nations.)

It's very unusual to see a kindjal mentioned, good to see it getting props. With the examples you've mentioned, except the kindjal, you seem to have a preference for slicing weapons commonly used on horseback. Do you ride as well?
