5 Signs You Are A Vampire

1. Like I said, the five "symptoms" up there are mutually exclusive. Its like there are multiple different "strains" that fill up different niches. The pretty ones lure food by looking pretty, and the ugly ones seem to function more as ambush predators.

i would imagine the ugly kind are much fewer as society and civilization grows. we take particular notice of ugly things. id think rural Transylvania would be the last place best suited for them these days..

and what kind of vampire would be stupid enough to come to your basement? well apparently he was....but if i was a vampire and wasn't your friend i wouldn't really just pop in and make myself vulnerable..

1. They're urban, it looks like, and tend to live underground; in maintenance tunnels or sewers, or places where being like them doesn't matter.
2. Its kind of a mix of creepy and ugly. Some of them look like Nosferatu, with long ears and bulgy heads, but others just look... predatory. Like, they have this look in their eyes like they're sizing you up.
3. This guy isn't my friend, but he isn't my enemy, either. I can't figure it out.

Even so, the knobbly-bobblies would still need to come out to feed, no? That would have to draw some attention, either from looking as they do, or spikes in violent crime/animal attacks.

That's the weird thing. From what I've managed to dig up, they get away with it by:
1. Targeting the kind of people no one would miss, like the homeless or creepy loners who live by themselves.
2. Being hard to track. Like, not leaving footprints hard.
3. Hiding behind urban legends and shit like that.
Its fucked. Half of this thing's section on them is about how paradoxical they are and how they manage to avoid being outed.

just to note Az, being looked at like a hunk of steak can be a turn on for a lot of people. because they think it's sexual appetite the person is displaying, not vampiric hunger. not everyone believes in vampires

it's not hard to make a feasting look like a bum murder. find a hobo or hooker, slash their throat so it'll look like murder, then drink their blood. but saliva samples might be found. tho with no one to match it the forensics would go cold. prints dont matter either. what cop goes looking for vampires in sewers, woods, and cemeteries? they would have to live in a densely populated area, cities of course with plenty of places to hide and plenty of society's degenerates to feed off of. and if the vampire keeps his/her victims of a wide variety and doesn't stick to one location, the cops wont call a serial case.

Though* as many vampire claim to have donors I don't believe everyone is willing to be a donor for blood... Need to get it somehow, is actually ending the persons life too far yes... Perhaps people they are in a relationship with may provide the blood believe it or not vampires aren't immune to sickness...

but yes a lot of vampires claim to be donors. but that can be easily explained. people want to be useful and needed. and when they have a friend who's a vampire, or thinks they're one, chances are they're curious about vampires or into them and the culture around them. it makes the donor feel a part of a special subculture and basically gives them the "I'm-special-because-my-friend's-a-vampire" high. it also gives them a sense that they have an EXTRA SPECIAL bond with their vampire. they're trusted with the vampire's secret AND they get to give the vampire life? what a deal! not only are they special but they also have some sort of "control" or even a nurturing complex involved with feeding a vampire.

and it's not like donors are torn at the throat and drunk dry. it's usually with a small incision or butterfly needle.

Plus there's the whole vampire-blood-is-like-crack thing.

im talking more of the vampire popculture here with tweeny sang vampires submerged in the goth fad remnants. you know the vampires that go to vampire clubs in the city and wear plether jackets and metal claws from hottopic.

but yeah it's tempting for the reasons i gave along with others.
